We run background checks on all potential sitters which will be done after we have received and reviewed your application. Please kindly note without a completed background check and in person interview with our founder you can not be featured as a sitter on the Manhattan Meow platform.
All the sitters on the Manhattan Meow platform work as independent contractors. After your interview and background checks you will be asked to review and sign an independent contractor agreement. As an independent contractor you are solely responsible for all your tax reportings. However, all of our sitters are covered by our pet sitter insurance and bonding policies for all the bookings done via the Manhattan Meow platform.
Manhattan Meow keeps a portion of all the booking fees to cover the administrative costs of the platform.
